Akufo-Addo goes into self-isolation after a close person to the Presidency tests positive for Covid-19


A one-page statement, released by the office of the Ministry of Information and signed by Mr Kojo Nkrumah (Minister of Information) suggests President Akufo-Addo is taking a 14-days mandatory precautionary self-isolation in conformity with Covid-19 protocols, effective the 4th of July, 2020.

The statement confirmed the President has tested negative for the condition; however, a person close to the Presidency is reported to have tested positive for Covid-19, and it’s become needful for the President to take this measure.

The President, Nana Akufo-Addo, will continue to work from the Presidential Villa at the Jubilee House, the statement concluded.
