Nasser Al-Khelaifi expects Kylian Mbappe to renew his contract and stay put at Paris Saint-Germain.
The World Cup winner’s future has been uncertain for a while now, with Real Madrid just one of the clubs interested as he is set to head into the final year of his contract at the Parc des Princes.
“Kylian is a PSG player, and he’ll continue to be a PSG player,” Al-Khelaifi said on Sunday after PSG had narrowly missed out on the Ligue 1 title.
“I’m not worried. Mbappe is French and Parisian. He has a contract and he wants to stay, 100 percent.”
Mbappe was named MVP of the 2020/21 Ligue 1 season, ending the campaign with 27 goals, making him the league’s top goalscorer for the third straight season.
“I want to win,” Mbappe said.
“I want to feel as though there’s a winning project around me.”
