AVOID, ‘PELL – MELL’ REPORTAGE- Kwasi Ofori-Appiah

The one who delivers your message can make things better or worse for you.

These days, one can easily read in between the lines that, the work of some journalists is nothing to write home about .It’s bias, mission driven, offensive and chaotic.

No matter how good the story is, they will create every avenue and means to make it distasteful.
Their song is, ‘bad news sells’

The question is; can you destroy your own environment with pell- mell news and expect a safe community to live in?
The answer is absolutely no. You can’t eat your eggs and still have them.

Proverbs 12:17 says that, irresponsible talk makes a real mess of things, but a reliable reporter is a healing presence. That is, good journalists are always a blessing, they consider the well- being of human life and not only to make the headlines.

If you can’t write the story as it is, don’t twist it. Writing to defame individuals, tribes, religions and groups can cause hatred and confusion.

Your mandate is to bring to light, the truth, fairness, justice and educate the public on trending issues .
In addition, it is a mechanism for life guidance which is purposeful for creating a safe environment.

The Watch Your Tongue team appreciates and strongly salute all righteous journalists and pray for stomach directed journalists to change.
