Covid-19 cases stand at 10,201 as Ahafo region records first case.

An update from the Ghana Health Service as at 09th June shows that the country’s covid-19 confirmed cases had surpassed 10,000. Per the update, the country’s cases stand at 10,201. The figure depicts 291 new confirmed cases in comparison with the previous case count of 9,910. Recoveries stand at 3,755 and death count remains at 48.

Active cases, therefore, stand at 6,398. The unfortunate occurrence is that the Ahafo Region, which had no record of a confirmed case since the pandemic hit the shores of the country has now recorded a case. All sixteen (16) regions of the country have recorded confirmed cases of the pandemic as it stands now. According to the Ghana Health Service, the country has run 239,395 tests from which the case counts are confirmed.

Central Region – 539

Eastern Region – 175

Volta Region – 158

Western North Region – 74

Upper East Region – 42

Oti Region – 38

Northern Region – 37

Savannah Region – 1

Bono Region – 1

Ahafo Region – 1
