Emmanuel City saddened by the demise of former Division one league chairman


Emmanuel City football academy says they are saddened by the death of former Chairman of the Ghana Division One League Board, Evans Amenumeh.

The Experience football administrator was confirmed dead on Sunday October, 25 after a short illness.

Amenumeh has become the second top Ghanaian football administrator, aside Alhaji Yakubu Moro of Berekum  Arsenals’ fame, to kick the bucket within the last week.

“We at Emmanuel City Football Acadamy are saddened by the demise of the former Chairman of the Ghana Division One League Board, Evans Amenumeh”.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family at this present moment.#RIP #ECFA 🔴⚪️” Emmanuel city wrote on Twitter.


Evans Amenumeh was a member of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and later became a member of the Juvenile Committee as well as a member of the Division One League Board and later was named the Vice Chairman of the Board.

He worked with Kwame Ntow Fianko Esq at a point in shaping the second-tier league which was facing hooliganism and lack of sponsorships from the corporate world.

Details of his funeral rites arrangements will later be announced by his family and Ghana Football Association respectively.
