Former Karela Forward Solomon Sarfo Taylor has admitted that Asante Kotoko Defender Ismail Abdul Ganiyu was his toughest opponent to play against.
The 21 year old had plenty of duels against Ismail in the Normalization Special Competitionat and he has praised his former rival.
“I played against lot of many top defenders in GPL, but I remember our game against Asante Kotoko in the Normalization Committee special Competition, Ismail Abdul Ganiyu worried me a lot, I was in top form scoring against any team across in the NC special tournament but Ismail Abdul Ganiyu stopped me from scoring that day because he know me well” he told ghsportsnews.com.
He penned a four-year deal with Danish lower-tier side Vendsyssel FFdespite the strong interest from Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
Taylor guided Karela United to the finals of the Tier I of the Normalisation Committee Special Cup competition but lost on penalties to Asante Kotoko.
The 23-year-old was in scintillating form for the Porcupine Warrios before succumbing to a recurrence of a knee complaint. He last played for Kotoko in the semi-finals of the NC Special Cup and has since been unable to feature for the Club due to his knee problem.
