Asante Kotoko Left-back Patrick Yeboah has stated that playing football was not part of his radar but wanted to pursue his educational career.

The 26 year old joined the porcupine warriors from karela on a three year contract and has since struggled to command a starting berth under Maxwell Konadu.

Speaking in an interview with MO TV on YouTube he says his first calling was not football.

“Football was not my calling but later I got to realize how good I was in playing football. I was someone who wanted to pursue my educational career to the highest level”.

“Coach Baba was the one who introduce me to football right from the school to Shukum Fc. Supreme FC was where I started playing active football”. He told MO TV.

Yeboah also said he has become a very popular person in society since donning the Red shirt.

“I just cannot describe it. I got the chance to join the Black Stars B a few months after I started playing for the club and it is amazing how popular I have become since my first game for Asante Kotoko and the number of clubs abroad that are seeking my services.”

“I do not have a manager because I have been my own man since I started playing professional football. Before I did not have people pushing me to become my manager but it will surprise you now the number of people who pressing me with their desire to manage me. It is a great experience and one that increases your love  the zeal to die for the club even more.”
