Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, yesterday treated some widows and mothers in her constituency to mark the Mother’s day celebrations. It was a joyful moment for these women who had lost their companions and were excited to be celebrated.
She made donations of mobile phones and television sets to help their children partake in the e-learning classes ongoing amidst the Covid-19. She also shared nose masks and taught the widows on safety protocols towards the fight against Covid-19.
The women who were so elated with the presentations thanked her wholly for her support and benevolence. They articulated great ecstasy for receiving the items.
Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan has persistently shared relief items, protective wears and food items to her constituents during these Covid-19 times, but it does not come as a surprise as she made this donations to widows during yesterday’s celebration, as she also happens to be a widow.
Lydia Seyram Alhassan lost her husband the former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon the Late Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko In January 2019, she contested and won the same parliamentary seat for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
