Dan Lartey, renowned entertainment researcher and CEO of Remedi Entertainment, has stated unequivocally that KiDi, a Lynx Entertainment artist, deserves to win this year’s VGMA Artiste of the Year. In the past year, the Afrobeat/Afropop musician has done exceptionally well.
KiDi almost missed out on the top prize to Gospel singer Daina Hamilton in last year’s edition of the award system, but he is back this year with a better chance of winning.
The “Touch It” hitmaker was nominated in nine categories for this year’s VGMA scheme, and Dan Lartey believes he has a good chance of winning four of them, including the overall prize.
KiDi is also expected to win the Most Popular Song, Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year, and Album/EP of the Year, according to Remedi Entertainment’s CEO.
KiDi, who headlined the Indigo O2 stadium earlier this year alongside his label mate Kuami Eugene and is also the winner of the Artiste of the Year category in the two most recent 3Music Awards events, is predicted to ultimately capture this year’s VGMA Artist of the Year title this time around.
He had multiple successful singles from his “The Golden Boy” album, which drew American rapper Tyga to appear in the remix of Touch It, one of the album’s tracks.
