The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has extended the deadline for 6,000 postponed students to pay their fees by one month.
The university’s management stated in a statement that the decision was made after the Minister of Education, Yaw Adutwum, and other stakeholders intervened.
“Following a meeting with the Minister of Education, Hon. Yaw Adutwum, and other stakeholders today, April 22nd, 2022, the management of KNUST has decided to extend the deadline for payment of tuition for postponed students by one month.”
“All students who were affected by the deadline of April 7, 2022 now have till May 20, 2022 to complete their fees without further delay,” stated Daniel Norris Bekoe, KNUST’s Deputy Registrar.
All affected students should take advantage of the extension to “pay up the permitted costs before the beginning of the first semester on the 23rd of May 2022,” according to the school.
Students with serious financial issues should seek assistance from the Students Loan Trust Fund, according to the statement.
