LEADERSHIP GROWTH BY FRANCIS ABBAH

“Leaders commit to growth when they have a clear vision for their entities, live out great values with their people and lastly, develop a plan in how the vision of their entities will be attained.” – Francis Abbah

Just as it takes time and the consistent nurture and care taking of our bodies that we fully grow well, the same applies to leadership.

Growth in leadership has two phases which are; growth on a personal level and growth on a wider level.

Leadership growth on a personal level has to do with leaders getting better with their leadership styles and continually improving each and every day. The aim of leadership growth on a personal level is for leaders to become better leaders today than they were yesterday and to become better leaders tomorrow than they are today. Just as Rome was not built in a day, it takes patience, consistency, continuous learning and the right attitude for leaders at all levels to attain this kind of growth.

On the other hand, leadership growth on a wider level has to do with growth taking place on the very entities or organizations that leaders are part of. Just like leadership growth on a personal level, leadership growth on a wider level also takes time, patience, consistency, continuous learning and the right attitude on the part of both leaders and their people to be attained.

For leaders commit to growth when they have a clear vision for their entities or for themselves, live out great values with their people and lastly, develop a plan in how the vision of their entities or of their personal lives will be attained in both the short term as well as the long term.
