New Voters Registration: Kojo Oppong Nkrumah spotted on untarred road in his constituency soliciting for votes

Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, before coming into politics was the host of Joy FM super morning show. Many of us can recall how he used to ask politicians questions and always tried to expose their lies. Today he is a politician, MP for Ofoase-Ayirebi and also the Minister of information.

Just in the ongoing new voters’ registration exercise organized by the electoral commission to compile new register, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah was seen driving on untarred road in his consistency asking people to come out and register to vote for him. This has triggered a lot of concerns in his constituency as people were wondering why he couldn’t develop the road during his four years in government, but have the confidence to even drive on it to come and ask them to vote for him.

At least, fixing the road he will drive on it in his constituency should not be a big problem for him as the road will benefit him as well. So how did he feel when he drove on it, asked by some people in the constituency. This incidence seems to prove that Africa politicians only care about votes and not the development and well-being of the people. We have seen many bad roads in the rural areas of which sometimes vehicles find it difficult to move there, but ballot boxes find their way to those rural areas using the same bad roads. During Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah time at Joy FM when he used to ask politicians questions and always tried to expose their lies, doe it mean that he is now a politician and he lies too?
