Politics knows no boundaries, The story of Atwima- Akuapem Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie(IGP)

Africa and for that matter Ghanaian Politics often times have been seen along ethnic and Traditional lines. This is because of the concept of familiarity that permeates the traditional Ghanaian and African society.

People of same ethnic lineage share acquaintances and comfortable working around their kinsmen.

The origin and background of people have really determined their successes in several fields of endeavor with party politics not an exception.
This has gone along to deny people with the necessary and requisite Political accumen to achieve their policital ambitions.

Though this phenomena is prevalent in our Ghanaian set up, Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie, the Youth Organiser of Akuapem North Constituency of the governing New Patriotic Party party has defied all odds to integrate and perform in a relatively unknown and unfamiliar Political terrain with his cultural background.

Having been at the fore front of party politics activism in his university days and risen to the position of Tescon Organiser in 2009,his commitment to duty with his Tescon President Davis Opoku Ansah(OPK), it is not surprising that both are very doing well.

It was not surprising to see him excel in Akuapem because his sense to work and loyalty.

As a born bred Asante person from Atwima and having lived all his life in Asante, the prospect of excelling as an astute politician with a diverse custom and environment was not guaranteed.

This nothwithstanding, he’s gone ahead to establish himself as pillar of the Akuapem Youth and he is felt all over in the Eastern region.

This is no mean achievement but came with a lot of hard work, determination and perseverance.

To my teeming youth who find yourself in various locations not necessarily your regions you can be the new “IGP” in your various policital space.

With Hard work you can break boundaries.

Tescon UCC is proud of Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie (IGP).
continue doing well .
