“Great leaders are persistent and resilient in ensuring that the visions and purposes of their entities are attained.” – Francis Abbah
Life is sometimes filled with uncertainties, setbacks and challenges. And those uncertainties, setbacks and challenges can sometimes discourage some leaders and their people in pursuit of their visions and purposes. However, some leaders are able to rise up after every fall and still continue in the pursuit of their purposes. The ability for a leader to rise up and still pursue the very purposes and visions for his or her entity is one of the factors that distinguishes great leaders from any other ordinary leaders.
Great leaders are persistent and resilient in ensuring that the visions and purposes of their entities are attained. They do not abandon their visions and purposes when challenges arise or when their initial strategies do not work especially when their visions and purposes are noble causes to stand for and to attain. But rather, they adjust their strategies and seek counsel from the right people (if need be for counsel) to enable them and their people to be able to attain their purposes and visions for their entities. They are persistent and resilient in the pursuit of the vision and purposes of their entities irrespective of the challenges, setbacks, failed initial strategies and uncertainties they encounter.
Most often, the leaders who are resilient in their pursuit do see the big picture in all that they go through and they are very much focused on the very vision and purposes of their entities. Also, the leaders who do persist are the leaders who have faith and hope that the very vision and purposes of their entities can be attained. Hence, such leaders are more resilient than their counterparts who lack the big picture of what they are going through and also lack faith and hope that their vision and purposes can be attained by them.
The more hope and faith that leaders and their people have in the realisation of their vision and purposes, the more persistent and resilient they become.
