Togbe Ghana conducts a successful clean up exercise at the Arts Center beach


Ghanaian sanitation Ambassador Togbe Ghana in collaboration with Isovoluntours from America with support from mondo4africa had a successful beach clean up over the weekend at Accra arts center beach.

Togbe Ghana’s “Let’s Go Clean The Beach” campaign won him Ghana’s best beach cleaner and Sanitation personality of the year award by Ghana leadership awards 2020.

Isovoluntours an American group on tour in Ghana joined the clean up exercise. Mondo4africa supported with nose masks.

Hand gloves, t-shirts and other items were provided to volunteers to facilitate the clean up exercise.

Togbe Ghana speaking to the media present Gtv, Adom Tv, Homebase Tv advised Ghanaians to join the exercise and also stop littering around the beach and put to proper use dustbins provided at the beaches.

“Let’s protect our beach environment to achieve clean water” he pleaded.

The plan is to start a monthly beach clean up across Ghana creating jobs for a lot of people and a setting up of a recycling factory. The clean Up exercise will soon be a weekly exercise but now it takes place the last Saturday of every month.

The campaign has also gotten another sponsor Adamah Veh Zerah and NGO in Cape Coast.

The next beach clean up exercise will take place at the Teshie old Savannah beach now called AO beach.
