University of Cape Coast appoints a new Vice-Chancellor and Registrar

The University of Cape Coast has appointed Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong (Provest of the College of Health and Allied Sciences) as the new Vice-Chancellor of the educational institution. The appointment of Professor Boaampong brings to end the successful tenure of Professor Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, signs off as the outgoing Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast on the 31st of July, 2020.

Also, the University has appointed Mr Jeff Teye Emmanuel Onyame (Director of Academic Affairs) as the new Registrar of the institution. The term of Mr Onyame takes effect from the 1st of August, 2020.  The decision brings an end to the tenure of the current Registrar of the educational institution, Mr John Kofi Nyan, which ends on the 31st of July, 2020.

In a notice released by the University of Cape Coast and signed by the current Registrar of the institution, Mr John Kofi Nyan, the decision on the two distinguished appointments came by after a   special meeting was held by the UCC Council on the 17th of June 2020.
