We can live without churches in Ghana: Akrobeto jabs churches after refuses to reopen

The recent lifting of restriction on church activities by President Akufo-Addo, has triggered many reactions from the religious bodies as many churches have refused to commence church activities per the president’s directives and measures. Responding to the reactions from churches, a popular Kumawood actor and television host, Akwasi Boadi, popular known as Akrobeto has jabbed churches for taking such actions.

As a way to minimize the spread of the virus, the president directives were to ensure that there is 1-hour church service, maximum of 100 members per service and effective social distancing during church service. According to many churches, the 1-hour service and 100 members per service are not favorable for church services as more time need to be spent with God.

As a respond to what the churches said, Akrobeto, during his popular Television news, ‘’The Real News’’ on UTV, yesterday, criticized the churches which has taken such position and reactions against the directives of the president. According to him, Ghanaians can live without churches so if churches are refusing to open for services, then they can remain closed. “Without churches and mosques we can live and be happy, so all churches must comply with the directives or remained shut’’, he jabbed.

Churches are currently operating online even though the ban is lifted as some are putting in place measures to ensure the safety of their members. Well, we can imagine a world without religious bodies. Do you think is possible?
